Amsterdam has seen its fair share of culture and economics; the capital of Holland was once the home of van Gogh and Rembrandt, and it contains the oldest stock exchange in the world in addition to being one of the wealthiest cities historically. And yet, the city is not without its low points being a territory of Spain, France, and currently under Nazi German influence.

Despite this, Amsterdam is slowly making a return to its glory days and reinforcing itself as a major trade city in western Europe.
