A grand industrial city in Punjab, Lyallpur was established by, and named, after a British Colonial Administrator. Even after the British left, the domineering textile industry emerged only greater, with its growth still continuing in the modern day.
However, this growth is marred in the sweat, tears, and blood of worker exploitation that becomes more rampant as each day passes, with impoverished migrants from rural areas who come into Lyallpur suffering the brunt of this exploitation.
