Hefei

Hefei

Also known as Luzhou, Hefei is both a young and old city. From the battle of Xiaoyaojin to the formation of the Huai Army, Hefei has witnessed many important historical events happening in China for centuries, with the latest one being the Second Sino-Japanese War which placed the lands under the administration of the Nanjing Government.

Back when Lin Baisheng served as the Governor of Anhui Province, Hefei - being relatively less scepitible to outsiders compared to the traditional regional centers of Anhui - was chosen as the 'New Model City' for his ambitions, leading to its rapid growth and urbanization that outshined the rest of the Province.

With the constructions of new railways and inland ports, the importance of Hefei as a key transportation and industrial hub grows overtime, eventually replacing Anqing as the new provincial capital of Anhui and becoming one of the strongholds of President Lin. Under the new Modernization plans, there is no doubt that Hefei will continue to unravel its potential and support, contributing to the Modernity of China.
