Copenhagen

Out of the cities unfortunate enough to be in the path of Hitler's path of conquest, København has been relatively lucky. Its position on the banks of the Øresund strait made it the largest source of Denmark's wealth for centuries, and as a low combat priority it came mostly unscathed out of the fires of the Second World War.

A bystander in its homeland, the Danish government can only pray from its seat in Christiansborg Palace that its good fortune continues.
